According to the new Data Protection Regulation, GDPR, See Fly Ticket Group AB needs your consent to process your personal data. The processing takes place in order to deliver the service you ordered and follow up on any events that affect it.

Privacy Policy for Habib Travel

We at HabibTravel.com take your privacy seriously. For our customers within the EU, we are currently following Regulation no. 2016/679, the Data Protection Regulation also known as the GDPR , which is the highest privacy and data protection standard in the world. For our customers from the rest of the world, we do our best to offer the same level of data protection based on security principles (privacy and integrity), transparency, data minimization, purpose limitation, accuracy and storage minimization. However, we cannot always guarantee equal treatment for all our customers outside the EU when it comes to data protection. If we e.g. would receive very many inquiries from our EU customers, which we are obliged to process, so we may have to refuse certain inquiries from third countries. 

  

What personal information do we collect?

For all purposes for which we need your personal information, we only process the information that is necessary for us to be able to fulfill the purpose. Depending on the purpose involved, we may address:


Your identity information

Essentially your name, last name, nationality, IP address, social security number and other information about your identity that you may give us. In addition, we will assign you some unique identifiers for our own use, such as your booking number or, in some cases, unique promotional codes.


your contact details

Your e-mail address, your telephone number and other contact information that you may provide to us in situations that deviate from normal.


Your settings

We will remember what choices you have made so that we can apply the same settings when you return to us. For example, if for any reason you refrain from using cookies , we will try to remember that and ensure that we do not store these cookies during your next visit to our website. 


What you have booked

We will collect information about the booking itself and its payment, and we will keep your previous bookings in order to provide our services, and to a limited extent also for marketing purposes (however, we will never use any payment information for marketing purposes).


What you did on our site

When you use our website, we follow what you do on it and use that information to improve our service . We see, for example, which pages you visit, what you click on or where the cursor is, and based on this we analyze whether certain functions on our website need to be improved. We also save information when you fill out our booking forms so that we can remind you that you have not actually completed your booking, as part of our goal to send personal offers .  


Information we use to send you relevant offers

If you book a flight or order other services, we will collect information about you so that we can tailor our offers for you and your needs. This includes information about your device (software and hardware), your IP address, general information about your location (eg time zone or public area), identity and contact information.


Information we collect if you contact us (in case you ever contact us)

When you send us an email, contact us via the chat or when you call us, we will store your contact information, your booking number and all information you provide to us at the time of contact, including the message or the call itself. We come then to use the information for that :

  1. Solve your problem as part of our customer support 
  2. Getting up our customer service staff
  3. Establish, assert or defend any legal claim
  4. Prevention of fraud

When you book a flight or order another service through our website or app, we use a third-party service in the payment transaction to help us prevent fraud. This is very common and happens next every time you order something online. To enable this, we will temporarily transfer your personal data to a personal data assistant from a third party. However, this is nothing to worry about. The entire transaction is completely secure and we use one of the best and most used tools for protection against fraud. To prevent fraudulent attempts to dispute a charge via your bank, we may check your social media to see if you have any connection to the person who ordered the ticket, in order to assure us that it is not an attempt to get the money back for the ticket through fraud. We will only process limited information about your connection to the person who booked the ticket, and whether you have published any information related to the flight (eg photos from the airport from which the flight departs). 

We need to prevent fraud to protect our business and our property. Fraud protection is one of the strongest legitimate interests recognized in the EU. In this process, the legal basis for our processing of your personal data is thus that it is a legitimate interest.


Other purposes

Establish, assert or defend legal claims

We also store and process your personal data for the purpose of establishing, asserting or defending legal claims. When you book a ticket or order another service, we will retain all relevant information for legal claims that may be relevant to you or us in the future. In the same way, upon receipt of the data protection request, we will store all the information you provide us and the information about our handling of the request for this purpose.

In general, we will retain your information for this purpose for 4 years, which is the maximum limitation period (the time within which you can initiate legal proceedings against us) according to the Civil Code, Act no. 89/2012 constitution collection. We will never use your personal information for any other purpose when it is stored solely for this purpose.

For this purpose, we process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest in our legal rights. You can object to this treatment at any time . We will then assess whether we can prove that the treatment concerns a legitimate interest that infringes on your individual interests, rights and freedoms. If not, we will stop processing your personal data for this purpose.  


Compliance with legal obligations

We must process some of your personal data in order to fulfill certain legal obligations that apply to us. As this is legally necessary, we do not need to obtain your consent for it. For this purpose, we process your identity and contact information as well as information about your bookings. The most important legal obligations that justify this treatment derive from the following provisions of the Civil Code: Act no. 89/2012 Constitution, Act no. 634/1992 Constitution on Consumer Protection, Act no. 235/2004 collection of statutes on VAT and Act no. 563/1991 collection of statutes on accounting. If you send us a request regarding data protection to assert one of your rights in the GDPR, we will ask for certain personal data which we then use to fulfill our obligations under the GDPR.


How long do we store your personal information?

In general, we store your personal information until we no longer need it for any of these purposes . The maximum storage period is generally 4 years, which covers the general limitation period in the Czech Republic (for the purpose of establishing, enforcing or defending legal claims). 

Exceptions to this apply to the sending of personal offers. For this purpose, you will from time to time receive offers via e-mail from us, and in each e-mail there will be a clear and simple way to unsubscribe and thereby object to this type of treatment. Therefore, we will retain and use your personal information for this purpose until you unsubscribe.

Please note that in order to ensure the security of your personal data, we will only respond to the requests sent from the e-mail address used when booking or ordering a service. If someone else booked for you, we will ask you to provide us with additional information (booking number, etc.) to ensure that you really are the owner of the personal information in question.


Transfer of your data outside the European Union

If necessary, we may share your personal data outside the European Union. This happens when you want to book a flight ticket with an airline from a third country or when you order a service from a provider based in a third country. Of course, we have to transfer your information to these third parties because otherwise it is not possible to provide ordered services.

For transfers to recipients in countries where we cannot rely on an adequate level of protection under Article 45 of the GDPR or appropriate safeguards under Article 46 of the GDPR, we will transfer your personal data based on the exemption under b) in Article 49 paragraph 1 of the GDPR . All selected carriers or service providers will process your personal data in accordance with their own privacy policy (which is published on each carrier's website). The transfer of personal data to other service providers will take place in accordance with applicable laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal data.
